Mothers in Mind
The Mothers in Mind group is a 10 week peer support group during term-time. It offers mums a place to find comfort, advice and support while struggling with their mental health around the time of birth and after. The group will be a place for sharing thoughts and experiences, taking part in activities or solely enjoying the company of other mums and their children. We welcome babies and children under 5. Each group aims to give you tools to promote positive wellbeing and find out about other support in your community.
The 10 Week Mothers in Mind program will focus on the following:
- Week 1: Introduction to the group and group commitments.
- Week 2: The difference between motivation, goal setting and intentions.
- Week 3: What are your values? What is important to you?
- Week 4: Recognising your positive qualities and building self-esteem.
- Week 5: What would you benefit from releasing?
- Week 6: What is mindfulness?
- Week 7: Identifying unhelpful thoughts and the effects they have on your emotions.
