There for parents when they need us most,
because childhood can't wait.

Meet the Team

Emma Peel

Operations Manager

My previous job roles have always been focused on children and their families; so after working in childcare for many years I decided I wanted a new adventure and started working for Home-Start NW Gloucestershire in September 2023.

I am proud of the work we do as a team and with the support of our volunteers we really do make a difference to the children and families that we all support.

In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog, running, and spending time in my garden.

Carrie Stuart

Family Coordinator

I joined Home-Start NW Gloucestershire in April 2024 after many years of working in the NHS.

I’m passionate about connecting with families, identifying areas where I can provide support, and witnessing the positive impact of volunteer involvement. With an understanding of the challenges families face, I strive to use my skills and experience to offer meaningful and compassionate support.

I am a busy Mum of 4 who, when I get time, loves to read, tapping into podcasts on topics I enjoy and heading out on walks to explore!

Chloe Morgan

Family Coordinator

Having worked within education and alongside supporting families for over 8 years, I was ready for a slightly different challenge and was lucky enough to join the Home-Start NW Gloucestershire team in 2022.

I absolutely love my rewarding job and seeing the difference we make by supporting so many families with young children. I thoroughly enjoy being part of such a fantastic team and using my knowledge and skills to help the families and volunteers I work with.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family as well as going out for walks and being in the countryside.

Gemma Clipson

Family Support Coordinator

I’m Gemma and I joined Home Start in November 2025 as a Family Support Coordinator. Home Start is such a valuable resource and I am privileged to be part of a team of friendly and welcoming people who all want to offer the best possible support to families with young children.

I was a stay at home mum whilst my children were young and then worked in primary and secondary schools for 12 years. I also have a background in mental health which I am passionate about. I love working with families and have seen the difference it makes to the whole family. Being able to be a part of supporting families in the early years of parenthood is so important and something I am already relishing.

I am a mum to 3 teenage/adult children which keeps me busy, but in my spare time you can usually find me in a coffee shop with a good book reading, getting fresh air walking in the countryside or taking painting classes.

Sam Morgan

Sam Morgan

Group Coordinator

I have been working in Childcare and Education for over 15years, supporting families with their children in Nursery settings and their homes. When my eldest started school I decided it was time for a change, and I learnt of the wonderful work Home Start do all across the UK. I started with the team as a volunteer and then as staff back in 2020, where I have a passion to support perinatal care in early parenthood. After taking a year break to enjoy more time with my family I was thrilled to be part of such a compassionate, professional team again, I now strive to support families in the best possible way.

During my time at home with my own family, where I have 2 boys, I love nothing more than adventuring locally and around the world, baking, arts & crafts and walking my dog.

Denni Humphries

Group Coordinator

I joined Home-Start NW Gloucestershire in 2021 and set up our first face-to-face Mothers in Mind groups in the Forest of Dean. Since then, our group peer support sessions have evolved massively.  I love being involved in their continual development to best support mums’ needs.

I’m really passionate about perinatal mental health and providing a much-needed safe space for mums to share experiences, feel supported and connect with others – especially in an area where many feel isolated.

Outside of work, I’m a busy mum to two young children with big imaginations, so can usually be found exploring the Forest on imaginary adventures or getting creative with arts and crafts at home.

Cynthia Swann

Finance Manager

I am a qualified accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), with over 20 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, and Charity Financial Management. My career has included both junior and senior roles, giving me a strong, hands-on understanding of financial operations and the practical needs of community-focused organisations.

After taking time away from work to care for my young twins, I felt ready to return to a role that aligned with my skills, values, and desire to support families in a meaningful way. Home-Start North West Gloucestershire felt like exactly the right place, and I joined the team in November 2025.

I care deeply about improving the financial wellbeing of families and organisations and believe strongly in Home-Start’s mission to offer compassionate, practical help and its vision of giving every child the best possible start in life.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my twins, reading, and travelling.

Koral Salter

Groups and Volunteer Administration

I joined Home Start NW Gloucestershire in April 2022 after my husband and I swapped the views of Hertfordshire for the Cotswold countryside in Gloucestershire.  I work as an Administrator for the Home Start Groups and Volunteers and enjoy being part of an amazing team supporting families.

My previous experience includes 22 years in Local Government. I have two grown up children and enjoy walking and exploring our new Cotswold home and spending time with family.
